WoW Forever has 139,562 Warrior characters, 12.2% of the 1,148,135 in the census of October 29, 2026. That makes Warrior the second most played class overall, second on the Alliance and third on the Horde. Humans play it most, Tauren Warrior is the largest pair that is new in WoW Forever, and the class's share has slipped 0.3 points in a month.
One rank apart on the two factions
The Horde has more Warrior characters, but the class takes a slightly larger share of the Alliance.
| Faction | Warrior characters | Share of faction | Rank on faction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alliance | 68,596 | 12.3% | 2 |
| Horde | 70,966 | 12.0% | 3 |
| Both | 139,562 | 12.2% | 2 |
The Horde's lead is 2,370 characters, while the Alliance's lead on share is 0.3 points. Both facts fit together because the Horde is the larger side, with 590,412 characters against 557,723. The Horde holds 51.4% of all characters and 50.8% of Warriors, so the class leans a little less toward the Horde than the population does.
Humans lead, and Orcs and Tauren follow
Human Warrior is the largest pair, with 29,263 characters and 21.0% of all Warriors. Orc comes second with 24,527 (17.6%), which leaves a gap of 4,736 characters. Tauren is third with 20,569 (14.7%). Night Elf is the second Alliance race on the list at 13,372, some 15,891 behind Humans.
A race's count and its taste for the class are different measures. Humans supply the most Warriors, yet only 16.2% of Human characters are Warriors. Tauren lead on that measure at 23.2%, ahead of Orcs at 22.1%, with no other race above 16.2%. Undead show the widest split between the two: 10,720 Undead Warriors is the fifth largest count, but it is just 5.4% of Undead characters, the lowest share of any race here.
Three new pairings, all on the Horde
Three Warrior pairs are new in WoW Forever, and all three are Horde.
- Tauren Warrior: 20,569 characters, 23.2% of Tauren and 14.7% of Warriors. It is the third largest Warrior pair of any kind, new or not.
- Skyborne (H) Warrior: 9,883 characters, 9.0% of the race and 7.1% of Warriors.
- Troll Warrior: 5,267 characters, 6.5% of Trolls and 3.8% of Warriors. It is the smallest of the ten pairs.
Alliance Skyborne Warriors are not flagged as new. They number 10,600, which is 717 more than their Horde counterparts, and they make up 10.1% of Alliance Skyborne.
A small slide in share
Warrior stood at 12.5% of all characters on September 29, 2026, and at 12.2% on October 28, 2026, a change of 0.3 points over the period. The move is small, and it is a move in share only. Each day's share is measured against all characters recorded up to that day, so a lower share does not by itself mean there are fewer Warrior characters.
What these numbers measure
These figures count characters seen by the census, not players. One player can have several characters, so 139,562 Warriors does not mean 139,562 people play the class. The census also records characters at every level, which means a new character counts the same as one that has been played for weeks. Shares of a race and shares of the class answer different questions: the first says how many of a race's characters are Warriors, the second says how many Warriors belong to that race.
