The WoW Forever beta census counts 131,029 Druid characters. That is 11.4% of the 1,148,135 characters recorded, and it makes the Druid the fourth most played class overall. Its share rose by 1.1 points, from 10.3% on September 23, 2026 to 11.4% on October 22, 2026. All figures come from the census snapshot of October 23, 2026.
Fourth on the Alliance, fifth on the Horde
The two factions have almost the same number of Druids. The Alliance has 64,223 and the Horde has 66,806, so the Horde has 2,583 more. As a share of each faction the order reverses: Druids make up 11.5% of Alliance characters and 11.3% of Horde characters. For comparison, the Horde has 590,412 characters in total (51.4%) and the Alliance has 557,723 (48.6%).
The Druid's rank also differs by faction. It is the fourth most played class on the Alliance and the fifth on the Horde.
Two races per faction
Each faction's Druids come from two races. On the Alliance, Skyborne and Night Elf Druids add up to 64,223, which is every Alliance Druid. On the Horde, Skyborne and Tauren Druids add up to 66,806, which is every Horde Druid.
| Race | Faction | Druid characters | Share of all Druids | Share of the race |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skyborne | Alliance | 34,517 | 26.3% | 33.0% |
| Skyborne | Horde | 33,549 | 25.6% | 30.6% |
| Tauren | Horde | 33,257 | 25.4% | 37.5% |
| Night Elf | Alliance | 29,706 | 22.7% | 30.1% |
Alliance Skyborne has the most Druids, with 34,517 characters, which is 26.3% of all Druids. That is 4,811 more than the Night Elf, the other Alliance Druid race. On the Horde the two races are nearly level: Skyborne has 33,549 Druids and Tauren has 33,257, a gap of 292.
Measured against each race's own population, the Tauren have the highest Druid share. 37.5% of Tauren characters are Druids, compared with 33.0% of Alliance Skyborne, 30.6% of Horde Skyborne and 30.1% of Night Elves.
None of these four race-and-class pairings is new in WoW Forever. All four appear as existing pairings, so no part of the Druid count comes from a pairing introduced in WoW Forever.
A share that has moved up
Across the daily snapshots, the Druid's share of all characters went from 10.3% on September 23, 2026 to 11.4% on October 22, 2026, a gain of 1.1 points.
What these numbers measure
These figures count characters, not players. One player can have several characters, so 131,029 Druids does not mean 131,029 people. The counts are cumulative: they include every character recorded since the beta opened, at every level. A Druid created on the first day and never played again is still counted. The share trend shows Druids as a part of all characters recorded up to each day, so a rising share means Druids were added faster than characters overall. It does not mean existing characters changed class.
